Wizards of the Coast has revealed an upcoming Secret Lair drop that will be exclusive to WPN local game stores.
Emily Floyd, Senior Business Development Manager for Secret Lair, announced the drop during today’s Secret Lair panel at MagicCon Philadelphia. She said that Wizards is trying to encourage visits to local game stores with the WPN-exclusive drop.
Floyd didn’t have an expected release date or price; however, she did show off its contents. The drop will include four additional cards in the black and white compleated variant that is also found on the 10 Planeswalkers in Phyrexia: All Will Be One, like Jace, the Perfected Mind. The four new cards done in this style will be: Ugin, the Ineffable, Sorin, Imperious Bloodlord, Sarkhan, Dragonsoul, and Nicol Bolas, Dragon-God.
Of those 10 Planeswalkers on ONE, only five were actually compleated, making the other five compleated cards “what if” variants representing compleations that never actually occurred. The four new cards bearing this style are also “what if” variants as none of Ugin, Sorin, Sarkhan, or Nicol Bolas have been compleated—at least, not that we know of.

Though only four cards were previewed during the panel, Wizards did show off seven additional pieces of art from upcoming Secret Lair drops. They didn’t provide any additional details about the images, though—no information about the artist or when the drops might be available, and no hints as to which cards might feature the art.
