On today’s Minute: Wizards of the Coast announced their very first Black Friday promotion. Plus, the second part of the Planeswalker’s Guide to Ixalan!
Yesterday, Wizards of the Coast announced that it would be running its very first Black Friday promotion this year on November 24th. If you buy a box of Ixalan that Friday, you’ll receive a Treasure Pack that contains two foil lands, four Standard-legal rares and mythics, two Standard-legal foils, and an alternate-art foil Double-Faced Card from Ixalan. On their land sides, the alternate-art Ixalan flip cards will feature art from the beautiful map of Ixalan showing that land’s location on Ixalan. Supplies will be limited, so make sure to visit your local game store early on Black Friday to secure your Treasure Pack.
Though the official Ixalan story is taking a break until Rivals of Ixalan in January, Wizards released the second part of the Planeswalker’s Guide to Ixalan this morning. In it, the story team goes deep on the history of Torrezon, the home continent of the Legion of Dusk and Brazen Coalition. The guide details the Legion’s conquest of their home continent, which resulted in many humans fleeing to Ixalan and resorting to piracy. Make sure to check it out at magic.wizards.com.
