On today’s Minute: Last weekend was Hasbro’s first Hascon and there was a ton of Magic news to come out of it. Plus more Ixalan previews and the first of three Nationals weekends.

This weekend was HasCon and in case you missed it there was a ton of MTG content to digest. New cards were previewed from Ixalan. Iconic Masters was unveiled via a blind prerelease. Magic the Gathering Arena was on-display with a playable demo. Mark Rosewater shared John Avon’s gorgeous basic lands for Unstable. You can find coverage of all this and more Hipsters of the Coast throughout this week.

Week two of Ixalan previews kicked off today with Mark Rosewater showing off a new double-faced card that pays tribute to another classic non-basic land from Magic’s past. Previews will continue for the rest of the week with the full set being made available on Friday.

21 countries held their National championships this past weekend, including Japan, which will be represented at the Magic World Cup by newly crowned national champion Kenta Harane, runner-up Shota Yasooka, and top-ranked pro Yuuya Watanabe.
