It’s the end of the year and that means it’s time to reflect on the past and look forward to a brighter tomorrow. This week we’ve given our writers the week off to be with their families and enjoy the holidays while we (mostly) run a top-ten countdown of our most popular non-news articles of the year. We’re also giving our newsletter team the week off but they’ll be back, and better than ever, the first week of January. For now, enjoy the countdown!

#2 Should You be Worried About the Bank of America Stock Forecast for Hasbro by Rich Stein

Fun fact: Since closing at $57.16 on Monday, November 14th, the date on which Bank of America’s forecast dropped, Hasbro’s stock has gone up by $3.83 to close at $60.99 as of last night. So I guess seven weeks later the answer is no, not really. The stock has actually been hovering pretty consistently around the $60 mark for nearly two months now. Of course the stock is still down over 40% this year. We likely won’t know more until quarterly earnings are reported for 2022Q4.

#1 Top 10 Cards to Buy to to Overpower Your Deck and Ruin Casual Commander Night by Stephen Braigen

We come to our epic conclusion of the 2022 year in review with, appropriately perhaps, one of our outside commissions for a top-ten list for our anniversary celebration. This unassuming list will be sure to be a hit at your next casual Commander night. Don’t forget to bring some laughs.

And that’s all there is. We’ll be back next week with all new content looking at the Magic Arena Decathlon, the upcoming cycle of Regional Qualifiers, and of course the releases of Dominaria Remastered and Phyrexia: All Will Be One.

Rich Stein (he/him) has been playing Magic since 1995 when he and his brother opened their first packs of Ice Age and thought Jester’s Cap was the coolest thing ever. Since then his greatest accomplishments in Magic have been the one time he beat Darwin Kastle at a Time Spiral sealed Grand Prix and the time Jon Finkel blocked him on Twitter.
