On today’s Minute: Last weekend’s RPTQ top 8 finishing decks are here!

Temur Energy dominated Grand Prix Denver last weekend in the hands of Brad Nelson, Corey Baumeister, and Brian Braun-Duin. The Temur Trio made up 3 of the top 4 players at the event and while the talk of the GP had been the new Jeskai God-Pharaoh’s Gift deck, Temur Energy carried the day and looked to be the new deck to beat in Standard.

It turns out that the Temur Trio weren’t the only players to notice that Temur Energy was a good choice for last weekend. This morning, Wizards released the Top 8 deck lists from 28 RPTQs that took place last weekend alongside GP Denver, and Temur Energy was the most-played Top 8 deck. The deck appeared 43 times in the 224 decks reported across various top 8’s, making up about 20% of the field. Zombies and Ramunap Red were close behind with roughly 17% of the field each while Green Black Constrictor and Mardu Vehicles each came in just under 10% to round out the top five decks in Standard.
