MTG Arena has arrived in the Epic Games Store five months after the move was originally announced.

Epic, the company behind Fortnite, launched its own video game storefront called the Epic Games Store in December 2018. It is a competitor to Steam, and similarly offers games for both Windows and Mac, and has surpassed 100 million users.

Wizards says that Epic will be the exclusive third-party PC download partner for MTG Arena and that the game will still be available for direct download from MTGArena.com. Existing players will not be required to create Epic accounts in order to keep playing.

The move to the Epic Games Store is the first step in making MTG Arena available on both Macs and PCs. The game still doesn’t support MacOS, but in the original announcement, Wizards said that a Mac version would come “shorty after” its arrival in the Epic Games Store.
